Personal Life
Dr. Platt and his family enjoy hiking and camping, soccer, basketball and skiing. His older children are attending a variety of colleges working towards completing degrees from Nutrition and Dietetics to Dentistry. Dr. Platt has been married to his wonderful wife since 1985 and together they have 7 children.
Dr. Platt enjoys teaching other dentists how to do some of the procedures he does in the office. He lectures regularly with Hiossen Dental Implant company teaching dentists how to use implants and how to preform the surgical and restorative part of implant dentistry. He also currently teaches about a variety of bone grafting procedures prior to placing implants. He lectures monthly in Colorado and Oregon and has other speaking engagements on the international scene. He is trying to give back to dentistry what he has been given and advance the cause and practice of dentistry locally and internationally.

While completing his formal studies, Dr. Platt received several awards including:
- UMKC Graduate with Honors in Periodontics and Pediodontics
- UMKC Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Periodontics
- UMKC Arthur E. Iwerson Award for Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry
- UMKC Class President Award
- UMKC Student Council Student of the Year Award
- BYU Department of Organizational Behavior Award
Dr. Platt is a member of the American Orthodontic Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, International Academy of Dental Implants, Academy of Bio-mimetic Dentists, Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Colorado Springs Dental Society, Director of Instruction for Hiossen Implant Company.
